4. High Waterproof Rating

5. Extensive Lighting Effects

Our permanent outdoor lights provide 16 million colors, multiple preset scene modes, AI-generated light shows, music sync, and fully customizable DIY effects to match any mood or event.

6. Durable & Long Warranty

Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights offer a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours and come with a 3-year warranty, while many other brands typically offer only a 1-year warranty.

1. Weather Resistance

Permanent outdoor lights need to bear the sun, rain, snow, wind, and harsh outdoor conditions. Thus, they should have suitable weather protection. Go with at least IP65 lights, and the ideal option is IP68.

2. Brightness & Lighting Type

Higher lumens provide brighter illumination for rooflines and architectural features, while RGBIC and RGBWIC create dynamic multicolor effects. A wider color temperature range gives you more control, from warm white for a cozy look to bright, cool white for everyday outdoor lighting.

3. Cut-and-splice Abilities

While choosing the light, check if it is cuttable or connectable. Often, users need to cut the light according to the space or area. They might also need to join multiple sections. Thus, it is necessary to ensure the light supports it.

4. Coverage & Length

Get an idea of the coverage and the length of the light you need. For a tiny home, bungalow, or two-story home, 50ft or 100ft is enough. If you live in a cottage home or other larger homes, go with 100ft to 150ft. For mansions, 150ft or 200ft may serve the optimal coverage, but you can select according to the property.

5. Smart Control System

Look for permanent Christmas lights with smart controls that support app and voice control. Smart features let you schedule automatic on/off times, adjust brightness and colors, and select lighting effects for holidays or everyday outdoor use.
